Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (Start German 1) Exam Schedule
The official list below shows the time slots that are reserved - not exams that have been confirmed. Please check with your instructor whether or not the course will have its final exam within this time.
Before registering, make sure to go over the Goethe exam guidelines and the terms and conditions on each exam page. Also, be sure to sign up for the right exam level.
Locations
The Exam Schedule lists the locations in which DEP conducts operator qualification exams. Check out the individual exam pages for additional information regarding exam content, exam rules and conditions, and other guidelines. If you need special accommodations because of chronic disease, visual or hearing impairment or other limitations make contact with the exam provider and provide detailed information when you register.
Faculty can view their exam times through the "View My Teaching Schedule" task on the Faculty Dashboard in Workday. The Registrar's Office also has a list of exam times for the courses that are required to take an exam as per NYSED regulations. For evening classes, final exams are scheduled during the regular class meeting time during the final week of the exam.

Registration
Students are encouraged to consult the exam schedule online. However it is important to keep in mind that the final exam schedule may alter at any moment. Students should therefore inquire with their instructors for the correct date and time of their exam. take a look at the site here should be certain to print the official list and bring it for their exams.
Students must also familiarize themselves with the rules and conditions of the exam in addition to the exam schedule. They are available on the individual exam page. Upon registration, students acknowledge that they have read and agree to these conditions and terms.
Exam locations try their best to accommodate participants who have special requirements. The nature and severity of these needs must be noted on the registration form and confirmed by an attestation from a doctor. Additionally, the exam locations must respect and maintain confidentiality.
If a student has three exams scheduled on the same day, it is recommended to contact their department or instructor to arrange an exam to make up. While it is possible to take three exams in a single day, this can result in a high stress level and can affect the quality of the exam. In addition, the professor may not be able to conduct a makeup test on another day.
Students should review their course materials prior to taking the test and work on their German skills. The exam is a paper-based test that measures your ability to read and write German. The results of the examination are given using a scale of A1 to C2. Students who successfully pass the test receive the Goethe-Zertifikat. The certificate certifies that the student has achieved language level A1. This level is the first level of the six-level scale of competency set out in the Common European Framework of Reference for Foreign Languages. The exam is free. Students must bring a valid government ID to the exam. Students who do not have a valid picture ID will be disqualified.
Fees
If you have completed your studies at Elan Academy and wish to be awarded an Goethe-Zertifikat A1 (start German 1), you'll need to pay the exam fee. This is in addition to the course fee.
Practice tests let you get familiar with the format of the questions, their wording, and the difficulty of the questions on the test. They can help you evaluate your understanding, find areas of weakness and increase your chances of passing the test.
It is important to note that the exam fee isn't refundable. Exam results can only by sent via email and not by phone.
